Original legs picture

This is the picture that I used before I copied it and changed the contrast and the color. I edited it from a picture in which I used a graphite pencil.

I took an orginal drawing of legs that I drew and edited it in PS. Then I copied it over 16 times and changed the color and contrast to make appear as it is on the left. Then I used the magic wand tool to highlight the letters from another layer and made that portion of the legs layer black and white and inversed. Then i added color to the "LUST" letters. Then I did the same process with smaller letters in the bottom right corner to form the word "LEGS." I made them pure white then added a blur effect to make them blend in a bit more.

The purpose of this work is to express how society has labeled lust as a more desirable pleasure than love. By making the word "LUST" more colorful and the word "LOVE" black and white it shows that the vibrance of lust is more apparent than the value of love. The purpose of the legs is that legs are a portion of the body that tend to be viewed as a sexual icon. Therefore legs were a perfect choice for icon of lust. The color choices blend a mixture of feelings from passion to purity to liveliness to peace, all of which stem from the emotions involved in lust and love.
